Astalty alternative for a one-person care business
What one person pays on each, why Astalty's GST-inclusive prices are not comparable as published, and where Astalty is the better buy.
Astalty is priced the way a small business would ask for: per user rather than per participant, no minimum number of seats, and a cheaper seat for a support worker than for an office login. The question for a sole trader is not a minimum, because there is not one. It is what a single seat costs, and which of the two products is built around the work you actually do.

Read the GST line before you compare anything
Astalty states that all prices on its pricing page are GST inclusive. Most Australian software in this market, this product included, quotes ex GST and shows the tax separately on the invoice. That is a tenth of the difference between two numbers, sitting inside one of them, and it is the single easiest way to get a software comparison wrong. Put every vendor on one basis before you draw a conclusion — and if you are registered for GST, remember you claim it back either way, which makes the ex-GST figure the one that reflects your actual cost.

What one person actually pays
Astalty charges A$64 per standard user per month and A$30 per support worker per month, both GST inclusive, with no minimum number of users and no lock-in contract. A sole trader is one standard user. The figures below are each vendor's own published basis, which is not the same basis — see the section above before reading across.

Neither product charges by how many participants you support, which is the trap both of them avoid and some of this market does not.
When Astalty is the better answer
Astalty is a well-priced product with a clear buyer, and on several of the questions the buying guide tells you to ask a vendor, its pricing page answers more plainly than most of this market does.
- You are a support coordinator, or you do coordination alongside delivery — that workflow is Astalty's core, with a task board, participant check-ins, goals and implementation tracking built around it, and HarvestFlow has none of it
- You want a cheaper seat for support workers than for office staff, which Astalty publishes as a separate, lower per-worker rate
- You want to try before you commit: a 14-day free trial with no card, a three-month money-back guarantee and no lock-in contract, all published
- You are growing past a handful of people and want per-user pricing that never charges you by participant count
- You would rather see one GST-inclusive number than do the arithmetic yourself
When this one is
A narrower case, and it is about the shape of the work rather than the price.
- Your work is direct support delivery — visits, notes, invoices — rather than coordinating other providers
- You run the week from a phone between visits, and want check-in, the note, the signature and the invoice to be one short flow
- You invoice plan managers and self-managed participants yourself and never touch a bulk claim file
- You want one price for the workspace rather than a price per person, while you are one or two people
What HarvestFlow does not do
- No support-coordination workflow — no task board, no participant check-in cycle, no goal and implementation tracking. If coordination is your work, Astalty is built for it and this is not
- No SCHADS award interpretation. It records hours and visits and hands the timesheet data to your payroll system
- No NDIA bulk claiming. Invoices go to the plan manager or the participant, who pay you directly
- No free tier that runs indefinitely. The free months are the full Basic plan for a fixed term, after which the workspace turns read-only and nothing is deleted
